2 charged with murder in Waldorf home invasion

WALDORF, Md. (AP) — The Charles County Sheriff's Office says two people have been charged in connection with a home invasion in Waldorf that left one man dead. The department says in a news release that on Jan. 12, two men burst into the home, demanded money and shot and killed a resident, 34-year-old Michael Keith Beers.

Police: Man tried to bring gun to baby shower after fight

WALDORF, Md. (AP) — The Charles County Sheriff's Office says a man who tried to bring a gun to a baby shower after an earlier fight was arrested. The department said in a news release that two men attending a baby shower Saturday afternoon in a Waldorf recreation center got into an argument.
