Kids finally get a look at Thibodaux museum

The $3.5 million, 12,700-square-foot museum at 211 Rue Betancourt held its formal opening Sept. 28, with hundreds of guests turning out to see an attraction that has been 15 years in the making. Once inside the main room, guests meet the largest exhibit in the museum, a full-sized John Deere sugar cane harvester that children can climb onto and explore.
