Howard sitting until pain stops

Lakers center Dwight Howard will not play Sunday against the Pistons, reports the Los Angeles Times. Howard did join his teammates after undergoing a PRP treatment back in Los Angeles, but he needed more time before he can return to action. Howard is unsure if he'll play Tuesday against Brooklyn. "It's still sore," he said. "Certain movements hurt. I don't want to go out there in any pain, thinking about it too much." Coach Mike D'Antoni said Sunday that the decision not to play was Howard's call. "It's not going to go away," D'Antoni said of the pain in Howard's shoulder.
