Edwin Encarnacion needs to be 'patient'

Blue Jays cleanup hitter Edwin Encarnacion entered play Wednesday at Detroit mired in a 0-for-17 slump. Hitting coach Chad Mottola said Encarnacion's early season struggles are a result of him being away from the team this spring because of the World Baseball Classic and Encarnacion missing time due to a bruised finger, according to the Toronto Star.
