Metra considering installing cameras at crossings

Concerned about grade crossing accidents, Metra officials revealed Friday they are exploring installing cameras at problematic crossings. Three grade-crossing accidents in February alone caused 117 trains to be delayed, Metra board members were told Friday. A Taft High School student was struck by a Metra rain and killed just this month as he walked through a Metra train crossing despite warning bells. He was wearing headphones at the time.
