Study Says Wives Matter More When Resolving Marital Spats

A new study out of UC Berkeley may have found the key to marital bliss. The research, published in the November 4 edition of "Emotion," found that a wife's ability to regain composure after an argument was far more important than her husband's in regards to long-term marital satisfaction. Lian Bloch, an assistant professor at the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology in Palo Alto, California and the lead author of the study, analyzed more than 80 couples' videotaped interactions following disagreements.
