Sprint, Softbank won't use Huawei products: report

LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) -- Sprint Nextel Corp. and Japanese telecom Softbank Corp. -- which is in a deal to buy 70% of Sprint -- have told the U.S. Congress they won't use any equipment made by China's Huawei Technologies Co., the Financial Times reported Thursday. The companies assured U.S. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Mike Rogers that they would not use any Huawei equipment and would even replace Huawei products used by Clearwire Corp. , the report said.
